Heather,
Here is another update on our Sadie lady! She is doing very well. We had her spay a bit early in end of September because we have a busy October and I wanted to be able to have a long weekend with her while she recovered. As you can see (pics from earlier this week) she is healed up well and back to her old tricks. She is very eager to please and does well with tricks and commands. She is learning to roll over and like her big sister will sit still while we through a ball until we give the ok to go fetch. Wicked smart! She has found her voice and is sure to bark whenever we come across another dog. She is very friendly though and wiggles around till she has permission to play. Very protective and alerts us to things she hears or sees mostly outside she is not aggressive though. She rides in the car nice and no motion sickness. She loves the dog park and the guy in the Wendy’s drive through window. We don’t allow them people food she just is a very well socialized little lady.

The ears down piddling problem is the same or worse, but we are keeping at it and hoping she out grows it. It is impossible to get upset with her anyway. She is such a character!

I saw your new litter of Shepherds….but two is the max! best wishes and more to come! What was the food you recommend? We’ve been using Natural Balance the sweet potato venison kind. We’ve tried all the flavors and so far that is the best one for our girls. I remembering something you said about blue diamond? is that Blue Buffalo with the huge blue diamond on the front of the package?

Thanks Heather!

I just wanted to give you a little update on my pup.She is doing great.I took her
to the vet this morning Her weight is 10.44 lbs,no sign of any worms or flees. So far the only problem I’ve had is trying to house
break her but I’m sure she’ll figure it out.She already figured out how to use
the doggy door & how to sit on the foot rest on my electric wheel chair. My
vet was very happy to read that paper you gave me on how to care for a new
pup.She told me you don’t find a lot of breeders who will take the time to do
what you did.

Charlie

PS Her home name is Shadow,I havent figured out what to call her on her papers

Heather,
I wanted to write to you and tell you that Sadie is doing very well.
We were surprised how happy she was to come home with us, she is so
accepting of any new adventure. She is a bundle of joy with so much
puppy power she never stops!  She’s fearless and brave and it just melts
my heart to see her little numb wag. She was just into the doctor on Sunday and
weighed in at 17.2 pounds and has a clean bill of health.  She and Aurora
her blue/red heeler big sister get along swimmingly… though I think Sadie
calls the shots. Sadie rings a jingle bell at the front door to go outside
to do her business which is hilarious because our 10 month old pup
absolutely refuses to ring the bell. She does piddle here and there
sometimes when we put her leash on or if she doesn’t want to do
something, and then loses her bladder completely it if you say no no to
the piddles. This is a new behavior though… we are open to suggestions
for correcting that. The picture is recent. Sadie and Aurora (who is winking at
the camera) last week, caught hanging out together on the cool tile. Sorry for
the red eye, it was a camera phone shot.

Thank you again for such a sweet pup!

Michelle

Hey Heather,

We purchased one of Hal and Reba’s texas heelers, we named her Avery.  She is spoiled
rotten and has been an awesome dog.  She is so smart  and learns
everything extremely quick.  She has adjusted well to her Alabama
home.  I just wanted to send you and update and some pictures.  We
take her everywhere and people are constantly stopping us to ask about her and
tell us how beautiful she is!!!

Hope you are having a great week!

Kristen
