Q: How does the waiting list work?
A: If there is an upcoming litter you are interested in, you can contact us and ask to be added to the waiting list. When you are on the waiting list you are under no obligation to buy a puppy from that litter, it simply means we will contact you when the puppies are born, and we will send out photos of the litter to those on the waiting list before posting the pictures on the website for general purchase. If you like a puppy, please contact Heather prior to placing your deposit to verify that puppy is still available.
Q: Do you ship your puppies?
A: Yes, we ship our puppies all over the United States.
Q: Which is better Shipping vs. Pick-up?
A: We would love for you to come and pick up your puppy here so you can meet us and see where your puppy is being raised. We do understand that not everyone can take the time to do so. We have experience in shipping our puppies and have had great success. A puppy must be at least 8 weeks old to ship. We try to ship our puppies between 8-9 weeks old. After the puppies are born we set a shipping date so you can plan in advance arrangements to pick up your puppy that day. For more shipping info please visit our Shipping page.
Q: Is shipping harmful to a puppy?
A: No, it is actually less stress on a puppy than a long car ride. We use airlines with specially designed live animal rooms on the plane. These rooms are pressurized and temperature controlled and are very safe. The air is the same as the cabin where you and I would ride. We have been shipping for approx. 7 years. No, there is no luggage stored with these little guys.
Q: Do your puppies have any of their shots before leaving for their new homes?
A: Yes! We would never allow one of our babies to leave without them. The buyer will also receive a record of all shots administered to the puppies in order to keep the puppies up-to-date on their shots.
Q: Do you socialize your dogs?
A: Yes, we do play with the puppies on a daily basis. Our whelping kennels are attached to our horse barn so there is always a stream of employees, customers, and children saying hi and playing with the puppies.
Q: Are your puppies good with children?
A: Absolutely! Our dogs are great with children. All the breeds we raise are great with kids and other animals even cats if brought in at young age.
Q: Are your dogs registered?
A: Yes, all of our dogs are registered with the Continental Kennel Club . They are all (other then the Jacks) registered with the Working Stock Dog World Registry as well.
Q: Are your puppies raised inside or outside?
A: Our puppies are raised in our brand new Whelping barn which is attached to our horse facility. Each litter has it's own 8' X 12' cement kennel with fans on them in summer and heat lamps when it's below 40 degrees.
Q: I found a puppy that I like on your site, how do I go about purchasing?
A: First contact Heather to confirm that puppy is still available. Then a $100 non-refundable deposit will hold a puppy until it is eight weeks old. The deposit can be paid by clicking the Pay Pal button on the puppies page. Through Pay-Pal you can either use your personal Pay-Pal account or enter your credit card information to place a deposit. If the puppy is ready for his/her new home then you should call immediatly to reserve your puppy. For more information regarding payment please visit our Payment page.
Q: Why do you have pre-arranged shipping dates on your litter of puppies? A: We have pre-arranged shipping dates because with our travel time to and from the airport it takes us away from our work for at least a half day, if not longer. By having pre-scheduled dates we can have extra coverage scheduled at the farm.
